Northwest Plaza, located in St. Ann, Missouri, is a historic shopping center that first opened its doors in 1963. At the time of its opening, it was the largest shopping mall in the United States, boasting over 1.2 million square feet of retail space. The mall was a popular destination for shoppers in the St. Louis area for many years, but began to decline in the early 2000s.

In 2010, the mall underwent a major renovation and rebranding, becoming The Crossings at Northwest. The new development included a mix of retail, dining, and entertainment options, as well as office space and a hotel. Despite these efforts, the mall continued to struggle and eventually closed its doors in 2010.

Today, Northwest Plaza is undergoing yet another transformation, with plans to redevelop the site into a mixed-use development that will include retail, residential, and office space.
